Learn to make simple graphs in R using the ggplot2 package.
As the second session in the three-session “Tour of the Tidyverse” series, this workshop will introduce participants to ggplot2, a graphics/visualization package within the tidyverse collection of packages in R. In this session, we will continue working with our dataset to create basic data visualizations. Additionally, we will discuss ways to customize the aesthetics of visualizations in ggplot2.
It is assumed that participants in this workshop have attended the first session in the series, “Data Manipulation in R.” The next and final workshop in the “Tour of the Tidyverse” series will cover making reproducible reports in R. This workshop series is open to all, but it is recommended that participants have some basic knowledge of writing R code in the RStudio interface. One way to accomplish this is to attend one of the “R for Absolute Beginners” workshops offered regularly throughout the semester.
