    Our Universe Revealed Lecture Series
    A partnership between the University of Notre Dame College of Science and the St. Joseph County Public Library. The mission of this lecture series is to make current research in science accessible for everyone. Local experts from local universities lead explorations of scientific topics and engage the public in conversations that inspire curiosity.

    Speakers: Jonathan Crass, Instrument Scientist, Department of Astronomy, The Ohio State University and founder of the Our Universe Revealed Lecture Series

    Jonathan Crass develops astronomical instruments, specializing in those with diffraction-limited performance for the study of exoplanets. In this talk, he will discuss the iLocator program. Dr. Crass currently serves as the Co-PI of the iLocater program and is leading its completion and delivery to the Large Binocular Telescope, Arizona, US. The instrument is a next generation extremely precise radial velocity spectrograph designed to study exoplanets in orbit around low-mass stars.
