The Graduate School offers a range of opportunities for faculty to improve their mentoring skills. Drawing from the University of Wisconsin’s Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER), these opportunities encompass both synchronous and asynchronous training. Faculty members can participate in a Mentor Self-Assessment to explore their mentoring styles in three essential areas: (i) research, (ii) professional and career development, and (iii) psychosocial support. Moreover, synchronous workshops with fellow faculty emphasize evidence-based practices, case study evaluations, and facilitated discussions.
